The heritage-travel landscape is fragmented. Genealogists, archives, local guides, heritage centres, researchers, drivers, and tour operators all exist, but they are scattered across unrelated websites with no shared vocabulary and no way to compare them.

That leaves people with real questions and no obvious place to ask them. Should I research before I book? Do I know enough to identify a place? Which kind of professional do I actually need? Is this person credible? What can realistically be done in five days?

What we do

AnchorHaven is a curated directory and readiness guide. We organise people and resources by what a visitor is trying to accomplish rather than by provider label, because most people do not arrive knowing whether they need a genealogist, a guide, or a driver.

We are launching with County Cork. One county, done carefully, is more useful than thirty-two counties of thin pages.

What we will not do

• We do not invent providers, credentials, reviews, pricing, or opening hours.
• We do not promise that an ancestral home will be found.
• We do not make mystical claims about DNA or ancestry.
• We do not let paid placement change our readiness guidance.

Honest routing

Sometimes the right next step is research rather than booking a trip. When that is the case, we say so plainly, even though it means telling someone that the trip they are excited about might be better a year from now.
